excerpt from Camp Sunday at TUC
Imagine yourself on a winding gravel road in the Black Hills surrounded by pine trees and wild flowers – boulders ticking up every so often… then you come around a bend and there is a sign announcing Placerville camp. For any of you who have been there you can visualize this scene in your mind and almost feel the apprehension of meeting another car on that twisty skinny road… and then that apprehension gives way to the anticipation of the days ahead. Days in which you meet new friends, reconnect with friends from prior years at camp and feel the power of the Holy Spirit at work in a powerful way.
A week at church camp is a time to immerse yourself in a setting where God is central. You learn about God, about yourself and God’s role in your life.
Applications and descriptions of the various camps are available in the TUC entry. Pick one up and begin one of the most significant experiences of your life. Church camp is life changing.
