The purpose of the Tulare United Church Women is to unite all the women of the church in Christian fellowship and with divine help and guidance to develop an understanding of the spiritual life, stimulate sacrificial giving and promote Christian service in the home, the community, the denominations, the nation and the world.
The Tulare United Church Women is affiliated with both the Dakotas Conference and the United Church of Christ Conference, supporting the projects of each. The fellowship will make the decision as to which projects. The Tulare United Church Women may also decide to donate to projects not conference related.
In October 2000 the women of Tulare United Church met and organized a women's group. In order to accomodate the working women and those who preferred to drive in the daytime, two circles were formed.
Both circles meet the first Wednesday of each month, September-May, in the fellowship hall.

The lessons are short and do not need to be completed prior to the Circle meeting.
All women are invited to join a circle group. We would love to have you come and spend some time with us! The food, fellowship and Bible study will nourish your body and soul!

Both circles contribute to a common treasury and work together on projects. The circles take turns serving coffee and rolls once a month during the summer. The women have prepared and served soup suppers prior to the Lenten services and also the dinner served before the annual meeting. Occasionally the women host a special event such as a Lenten Tea.
Activities of the TUCW
- The women put together kits for World Relief and contribute to the Dakotas Conference Ingathering.
- At Christmastime families in need are adopted and gifts are purchased for them.
- The women contribute to local benefits for victims of disasters or illness
- Participation in area "World Day" events.
- Camp scholarships given to youth to help with camp expenses
- Annual contribution to the UCC Scholarship Fund which has benefited our local students attending college.
- The women support the Good Samaritan Center with an annual contribution.
- Graduating seniors and confirmands are honored with gifts.
- Christmas treat sacks are also made for the children of TUC.
- There are cards and napkins for purchase in the fellowship hall. Proceeds help fund the above projects.
